Description
Opened in 1899 by the Cuba brothers as the Grand Hotel, it was one of the most important hotels in the Tigullio area throughout the 20th century. Closed and abandoned for over 40 years, in 2020 the property began its redevelopment. The ground and first floors will be used for a hotel with a spa and restaurant, while the upper floors will be converted into 21 exclusive apartments with a view of the Gulf of Tigullio.
The project was conceived from the beginning with the aim of enhancing and preserving the Liberty style of the building through a careful restoration plan, including the removal of some architectural incongruities added over the years. The entire structure of the building was reviewed to comply with seismic safety regulations and reduce energy consumption, noise, and other installations. Great attention was given to the layout of the apartments, which are all well-proportioned, functional, and offer excellent exposure to light and sea views in all main areas.
