Description
Located on the hills of Monferrato, it was built in the early 20th century by the industrialist and patron Riccardo Gualino.
The castle interior consists of 156 rooms, while the park features artificial caves and dens, an aviary, a huge glass greenhouse, a vineyard called "la colonnella", artificial lakes, fountains, streams, and water games.
Abandoned for decades and with numerous degradation phenomena present, it is now leased to the HGM company, which has undertaken a project to enhance and restore the castle.
The project involves a conservative restoration, intervening only where strictly necessary, respecting the history and culture of the site.
